Good couple of days

Hello everybody!

Brian seems to have some pretty good days. He was sitting up today actually eating lunch witch he has been unable to do until recently. He's eating bits and pieces and seems to be doing okay with that. He shaved his head yesterday and thinks he looks like "Senior Ray" (a friend of his). He appreciates all your words of inspiration and I print the posts often for him. Friday of this week he will be going in for an evaluation for his next round of Chemo and if all goes well he will be starting round #2 on Monday the 19th, we'll see where that takes us.

Talk to everybody soon!

Christie

If you are feeling low and gloomy, "go and rub it between two jackpines."

Hey Brian,

Out with Lars the last couple of days elliminating critters. Was thinking about you yesterday when we were doing bison. Just think what a couple of Old Pro's like us could teach these guys! Get on the mend and we'll give em a go at the cradle! Told them that we could teach them where the bear shit in the buckwheat pretty much anytime we wanted. Be kinda like the old days (God, are we getting that old?).

Hi Brian:
I was over in Abbotsford last weekend for a Birthday.
Well we stayed in a Bed and Breakfast out on Sumas Prairie. It is run by a chap that is building log houses. You know how I can talk! It turned out that he worked as the cut-up foreman at Kohler's European Sausage when I was V/C. His wife worked at Coaspac and J & L Meats. So there was a lot of reminiscing at teatime and at breakfast when they brought out some pictures.
Last Wednesday we went out to a play in Chemainus with Roger and Shirley Hannaford. We had supper at Friday's in Mill Bay. They have a Prime Rib special on Fridays. I immediately thought of you and how we could program a trip to stay for the weekend. It might take a special meeting with whoever and Maria Kohler???
Doug Barrett was over on Tues to bottle a batch of wine that I made from the fruit that went soft when the power was out in Dec.
I had my final day not at work on 26 Feb. I had my 25 years in so I left. But you knew that story before anyone else.
We on Vancouver Island are all hoping for a gentle course of treatment for you and a steady recovery.
