Quiet Sunday

Hello,

Today was a good day, he is very alert and has come down with a chest infection but is on medication and hopefully that will clear it up soon. He was in great spirits and teasing the nurses and picking on mom as usual. He says a big hello to everybody and enjoys hearing all your comments.

Take care,

Christie

Hi Brian and Chris
I talked briefly to Chris to tell her that Katy and Blair have a beautiful baby boy, 8 lbs 8 oz, as of 8:13 this morning. He is a chubby faced little darling--lots of black hair, and already demanding food. Katy is very well.Blair is so happy he hardly knows what to do except hold and look at his new son. Hope this news adds to a good day for you Brian. I will update you on baby's name when I know what it is.
Love, Florence and John

Hi Uncle Brian and Aunt Chris

I am soo happy that you are now in a private room! Yay! I am sorry to hear about the infection, but I am sure that will clear up so quickly you will forget all about it.

I miss you guys so much and I can not wait to see you again. When you get better I will have to get my motercycle permit and then we can go cruising and cause lots of trouble. Hehehee

I am applying to SFU and UBC for september to hopefully I will see you guys more often.

Take care, and feel better soon!

Love, Kisses and Hugs
Steph

Thank you Christie for keeping up the blog. I read it daily. I didn't know what a blog was until Trish turned me on to it. What a great way to keep in touch without having to disturb your family.

Hey Big Guy, you missed the flooding at Still Creek again. This time it shut down one bank of elevators. It played havoc with the couriers for sure.

I hope you were able to see the beautiful sunshine today. (Such a relief from all the grey clouds.) May the sun shine on you and yours while you recover.

Take care and keep fighting.

Hi Brian,

We just wanted to let you know that we are thinking about you and hope you get well soon. We are sending you a few poems that will hopefully bring a smile and a ray of sunshine to you.

WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO
Cancer is so limited that:
It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit

THE CANCER CHANT, I WILL RANT.
Cancer I did not give you the right,
To invade my body and take a bite.
This is my body and with all my might,
I will prevail with one hell of a fight.
To the cancer inside, I will battle and kill.
For that is my body's God given will.
To my cancer, these words I do send.
I will fight you with all my strength

HOPE
Hope and Faith go hand in hand.
Hope for the future.
Hope leads to a brighter future.
Hope for riches
Life would be different without hope.
The power of hope makes us hold on.
In the worst of times hope is there.
Hope fuels our courage.
It makes hearts stronger.
Hope doesn't just give up on us.
Hope is like faith one must have both.

From all your friends and colleagues at Lilydale POCO.

Hi Brian and Chris
It's good to hear that you now have a private room and can maybe have a decent sleep. I know it's difficult to get one when you're sharing rooms and then they won't let you shut the doors and such. Keep on fighting the fight

Hi Uncle Brian and Chris

I am glad to hear you got your own room, it sucks to have roommates, especially when you are trying to rest.

The weather here is a little unpredictable here, and I hear you guys are getting a lot of rain, at least I can shake off the snow.

Not a lot to tell about what is happening here, except we are staying out of trouble, which is a good thing at our age.

Just a quick note to say Hi and let you know I am thinking of you often.

Take care and love you lots.

Hi Brian,

Thinking of you always and missing that wonderful smile and laughter of yours!! I must say I was A LOT jealous that you have visited Still Creek but didn't come to Boundary Fish building!

Just wanted to let you know your in my thoughts and prayers. I know you have an amazing support system from your family and friends which is great for you.

After seeing you on your bike I want to go for a spin! So stay strong and kick this thing in the butt!!

Take care,
Marie Robinson
